The Power of Range: Why Genre Versatility Still MattersBy Nate Franchesco

There’s something to be said for musicians who live and breathe one genre. But there’s also something timeless about the ones who cross styles — who live in jazz, flirt with blues, hammer down in hard rock, and float in lounge or bossa nova.

That’s always been my approach. I never wanted to be known for one trick. From the moment I picked up an instrument, the goal was total range — to be able to play anything I heard in my head.

Whether it’s the soulful breakdowns of ‘Up From The Stone,’ the smooth shimmer of ‘Bossa/Lounge 67,’ or the fusion madness on some of my Breed 35 guitar clips, every track I’ve put out represents a different part of the musical puzzle I’ve built over time.

I’m currently releasing these tracks weekly or every other week, depending on how the indexing flows — and most of them are throwbacks from years ago, previously unreleased and now getting the light they deserve.

And if you’ve been listening closely, you know:

You never know what style I’m dropping next.

Stay tuned. I’m just getting started.
