Nate Franchesco delivers an ambitious statement with Parallel Keys EP — a four-track exploration of prog-inspired organ textures, tight jazz improvisation, ’70s funk fusion, and a bold reimagining of George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.
This project shows why Nate has earned the nickname “genre assassin” — seamlessly jumping between styles while commanding the keys and guitar with equal precision.
Tracklist & Highlights 🎶
1. Stargazer (Solo / Intro) 🌌 (Prog Organ Prelude)
A two-minute prog-inspired organ introduction that sets the tone. Layers of atmospheric harmony create a cinematic opening before the EP kicks into high gear.
2. Tightrope Swing 🎷 (Jazz/Blues Organ-Guitar Trade-Off)
A 53-second burst of energy where organ and guitar trade lines in a playful jazz/blues dialogue. Precision, groove, and flair all collide in under a minute.
3. The Organic Funk 🕶️ (’70s Funk Fusion Homage)
A nod to the golden era of funk fusion, blending deep organ tones with blues-infused phrasing. It grooves, it moves, and it captures the spirit of vintage 1970s jazz-funk with a modern twist.

Closing the EP is Nate’s reinterpretation of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue — blending background string synth textures with organ-driven phrasing and a powerful chromatic crescendo. It’s the most ambitious track on the EP and a showcase of Nate’s keyboard virtuosity.
