Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist Nate Franchesco adds yet another layer to his ever-expanding catalog with a dreamy, island-inspired throwback: a mock Hawaiian-style lap steel guitar piece, recorded back in 2014 and now released for the world to enjoy.
With echoes of classic slack key and Muzak-era exotica, the track evokes palm trees, rolling surf, and distant ukuleles, all layered through Nate’s signature tone and warmth. The accompanying artwork — a vivid beach-themed digital illustration — features a retro Stratocaster, animated beachgoers, coconut trees, and a vibrant umbrella under the tropical sun.
This release follows recent drops like “Bossa/Lounge 67”, “Up From The Stone”, and the scat-vocal remixes of “Tightrope Swing”, confirming Nate’s unmatched stylistic reach — from jazz fusion and rock to lap steel and classical piano.
“The beauty of music is that you can travel without leaving the room,” says Nate. “This one takes you to Hawaii — minus the airfare.”
